Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, and the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in frame and lens selection and dispensing.
• Ensure compliance with social distancing and hygiene practices.
• Provide customers with accurate product information and benefits, including insurance details.
• Utilize the SERVE sales process to identify needs and recommend lens options.
• Interpret prescriptions and communicate with labs and optometrists to ensure accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with proper measurements and verifications.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area.
• Ensure pricing accuracy for retail customers.
• Maintain compliance with state licensing requirements.
• Provide guidance to Apprentice Opticians where applicable.
• Adhere to HIPAA and privacy policies.
• Participate in training and complete departmental goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and workspace.
• Perform additional responsibilities as business needs require.
