Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking skilled opticians to join our in-house optical team. You will help customers meet eyewear needs, take measurements, and ensure precise fittings that meet our standards and customer requests.

As a licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states), you will explain prescriptions, advise on frame/ lens selections, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain exceptional service and drive Warby Parker’s mission forward.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in licensing states or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a retail mindset.
• Ability to explain eyewear terminology to customers clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers to meet eyewear needs and provide expert guidance.
• Take and record measurements, fit eyewear, and ensure precise adjustments.
• Verify eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terms and product options to customers.
• Collaborate with team to deliver exceptional service and share best practices.
• Help customers choose frames/lenses based on prescription, fit, and style.
