Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking skilled Opticians to join our in-house optical team in Washington, DC. You will become an expert in our glasses, help customers see clearly, and deliver outstanding service with accuracy and care.

You will work closely with a motivated team, expand your skills through our resources and benefits, and embody Warby Parker's values as you assist customers with frame and lens selections, measurements, and fittings.

Qualifications

• A licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states) is required.
• Strong interest in eyewear and retail.
• Clear, effective communicator who explains technical terms to customers.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers.
• Collaborate with team to deliver exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Contribute to sales and service best practices across the organization.
• Represent the brand and educate others about Warby Parker values and mission.
