Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking skilled Opticians to join our in-house optical team, helping customers see clearly while upholding our brand values. You will become an expert on our glasses, measure, fit, and verify eyewear, and work with teammates to deliver outstanding service.

You’ll explain prescription terminology, guide customers in choosing frames and lenses, and ensure products meet our optical standards and customer requests.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communication; able to explain prescription terminology to customers.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Inspect finished eyewear to meet optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with team to ensure exceptional service.
• Assist customers in choosing frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Work with team to establish best practices for sales and customer service across the organization.
• Represent the Warby Parker brand and educate others about our values and mission.
