Job summary

AEG is hiring a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit and accurate dispensing, and maintain detailed records in the EHR/ALE system.

Responsibilities include educating patients on care, warranties, and insurance, performing adjustments, and collaborating with technicians and managers to deliver a top-notch patient experience.

Qualifications

• State Licensure is required to practice as an optician.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience is required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Manual dexterity for eyewear handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system accurately.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and insurance details.
• Inspect and adjust eyewear; handle repairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice.
