Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optician to join our in-house optical team in Lexington. You will help customers meet eyewear needs, take measurements, and ensure eyewear meets our standards and customer requests. You’ll explain prescription terms, assist in frame/lens selection, and work with teammates to provide standout service.

The ideal candidate is licensed or ABO-certified, passionate about eyewear, and a strong communicator who thrives in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Active dispensing license in states that require one (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain prescription terminology clearly to customers.
• Strong attention to detail in measurements and fittings.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with eyewear needs and measurements.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terms and product options to customers.
• Collaborate with team to deliver exceptional service.
• Help customers select frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Share best practices for sales and customer service across the team.
• Represent Warby Parker and educate others about the brand and values.
