Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a licensed optician to join our in-house optical team. You will help customers with eyewear needs, take measurements, and ensure lenses and frames meet high standards.

You’ll explain prescriptions and guide choices based on fit, style, and lifestyle, while collaborating with the team to deliver outstanding service. Ideal candidates are licensed or ABO-certified, customer-focused, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in licensed states or ABO-certified in non-licensing states.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communication with customers.
• Dedicated to going above and beyond for customers.
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely detail-oriented with broad responsibilities.
• Open-minded and eager to learn continuously.
• Not on LEIE list.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings.
• Collaborate with team to provide exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Contribute to sales and service best practices across the organization.
• Represent the brand to educate others about values and mission.
