AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and excellent patient care on site in Rhode Island. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories, ensuring proper fit and accurate measurements while leveraging your optical dispensing skills.

You will also input prescriptions into the EHR/ALE, educate patients on lens options and care, and help explain insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• State licensure required to practice as an optician.
• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not mandatory.
• Optical dispensing experience is essential.
• HIPAA knowledge is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories based on prescription, lifestyle, and style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE system and maintain patient records.
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and care; discuss insurance coverage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of frames boards, displays, and work area.
