Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to join our team and deliver expert eyewear solutions with exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit and accurate measurements, and provide education on insurance coverage and warranties.

You will maintain current knowledge of products, rebates, and lens types while using the EHR/ALE system to record prescriptions and order details. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required to practice as an Optician.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows, word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient with personalized eyewear recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, lenses and frames available.
• Handle patient calls, update order status, and resolve issues with management escalation.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage, warranties, and service options.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR/ALE system accurately.
• Ensure proper frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Communicate with technicians and managers for order status.
