Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is hiring a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site. You will assist patients, ensure correct lens dispensing and frame fit, and maintain accurate records in the EHR/ALE system.

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice as an Optician.
• High school or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred but not required.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office and basic software.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Educate patients on glasses care, warranties, and insurance.
• Enter prescription details into EHR/ALE systems accurately.
• Take and return patient calls, update order status, and resolve issues.
• Dispense glasses and adjust for proper fit and comfort.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers on order status.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
