Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a skilled optician to join our in-house optical team in the United States. You will help customers with eyewear needs, take precise measurements, and ensure glasses meet optical standards and customer requests.

You will explain prescription terminology, assist in selecting frames, and collaborate with teammates to promote best practices while representing the Warby Parker brand with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
• Clear, effective communication and ability to explain technical terms to customers.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer-service mindset and dedication to helping customers.
• Not listed on LEIE (Office of Inspector General).

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with team to uphold best practices for sales and service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription, fit, and lifestyle.
• Represent the brand and educate customers about Warby Parker values and mission.
