Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optician to deliver exceptional customer service while leveraging eyewear knowledge to meet each customer’s prescriptions and lifestyle needs. You will measure, fit, and verify eyewear to ensure accuracy and optical standards.

You will explain prescription terms, collaborate with teammates, and help educate customers about our brand and values. This role emphasizes accuracy, patient care, and a passion for retail eyewear.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states).
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective communicator with customers.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Not on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Check eyewear meets optical standards and customer requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Collaborate with the team to implement best practices for sales and service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Represent the brand and educate customers about Warby Parker's values.
