Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients with frame and lens selections, ensure proper fit, take precise measurements, and maintain high standards of service in a busy practice.

Requirements include state licensure, a High School diploma or GED, and optical dispensing experience. ABO/NCLE is preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• State Licensure is required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE certification preferred.
• Optical dispensing experience required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.
• Manual dexterity is essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience and explains tailored recommendations for products and services.
• Interprets prescriptions and enters data into the EHR/ALE system.
• Fits and adjusts eyewear, inspects final product, and performs repairs as needed.
• Educates patients on eyeglass care, warranties, and replacement options.
• Maintains knowledge of insurance coverage, eligibility, and copays.
• Keeps technicians and managers informed on order status and issues.
