Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and top-notch patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper measurements, and dispense eyewear with clinical accuracy.

You will collaborate with clinicians to interpret prescriptions and maintain high patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include educating patients on lens options, insurance benefits, and care routines while keeping abeam on product knowledge and safety standards.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required for optician practice.
• High School diploma or GED; ABO/NCLE preferred.
• Optical dispensing experience preferred; HIPAA knowledge beneficial.
• PC skills (MS Office, Windows, word processing) encouraged.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and sales aptitude.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience with customized eyewear recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments; evaluates fit.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, and lenses.
• Enters prescriptions into EHR and ALE; ensures proper documentation.
• Communicates status of orders and resolves issues; follows up with patients.
• Fits and adjusts eyewear for comfort and visual acuity.
• Interacts with technicians and managers to confirm order details.
• Educates patients on insurance coverage, warranties, and care.
