Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care in a fast-paced practice. You will help patients select frames, lenses, and coatings, ensuring proper fit and accurate dispensing while delivering outstanding service.

The role requires a High School diploma (or GED) and a preference for ABO/NCLE certification. Prior optical experience and HIPAA familiarity are valued, with a focus on teamwork and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories to fit prescription and lifestyle.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and ensure proper documentation.
• Dispense glasses, check fit, adjust as needed, and collect feedback.
• Explain insurance benefits, warranties, and pricing to patients.
• Maintain knowledge of products, lenses, coatings, and rebates.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers to confirm order status and timelines.
