Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optical Manager in New York to lead our in-house Optical team and deliver exceptional eyewear experiences for customers. You’ll coach the store’s Opticians and consult with customers to ensure confidence in every pair of glasses.

The ideal candidate is a licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states) with at least two years in a management role, able to train, motivate, and maintain high optical standards while delivering friendly, expert

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
• 2+ years in a management position.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail.
• Clear communicator who can break down technical terms for customers.
• Detail-oriented and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

• Directly work with customers to meet eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with accuracy.
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Lead and develop the Optician team and manage floor coaching.
• Oversee store systems, inventory, and operations.
