Qualifications

• Must be licensed to work as an optician within the State and keep license up to date.
• 2+ years of management experience in retail with proven results.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Strong supervisory and mentoring skills to drive sales and satisfaction.
• Able to use computer systems for sales, ordering and timekeeping.
• Polished customer service skills and ability to understand patient needs.
• Capable of resolving customer complaints with tact and positive outcomes.
• Reliable and punctual to maintain store hours and coverage.
• Interest in fashion eyewear and an eye for style is highly desired.
• Flexible for scheduling, including Saturdays and special sales events.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience with appointment scheduling and responsive service.
• Accurately interpret prescriptions, measure, verify with lensometer, dispense eyewear, and process orders.
• Lead and develop store associates to meet sales goals and service standards.
• Oversee daily operations, scheduling, workflow, and order/inventory management.
• Process and verify third-party vision insurance benefits and claims accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
• Manage opening/closing, cash handling, POS transactions, and daily reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Optical Services Director to drive performance and lab relationships.
• Keep the optical department clean, organized, and aligned with brand standards.
