Boscov's Department Store, LLC is seeking a Licensed Optical Associate to dispense spectacles and contact lenses, advising customers on lens and frame options. The role supports a fast-paced Optical team in a full-service department store environment.

Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, performing measurements with a lensometer, and ensuring proper fit and vision. The position requires a valid license and retail experience, with competitive wages and benefits for a part-time team

Qualifications

• Licensed optician in good standing with state licensing requirements.
• 1 year of optical experience.
• 1 year of retail store experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to prioritize and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription orders for accuracy and maintain organized order files.
• Deliver excellent customer service in person and by phone.
• Interpret prescriptions, perform optical measurements, and recommend frame and lens options.
• Manage order fulfillment, update order status, and process sales and payments.
• Perform eyewear fittings, adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting.
