Job summary

Warby Parker is opening a new Miami store and seeks a Licensed Optical Manager to lead the in-house Optical team. You will coach Opticians, consult customers, and ensure eyewear meets standards.

The role blends leadership with hands-on optical duties in a fast-paced retail setting. The ideal candidate has a valid dispensing optician license (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states) and 2+ years in management, with a passion for eyewear and customer service.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician (or ABO-certified in non-licensing states)
• 2+ years in a management position
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Able to explain technical eyewear concepts to customers
• Professional demeanor and problem-solving mindset

Responsibilities

• Directly work with customers to meet eyewear needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear with high accuracy
• Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and requests
• Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers
• Lead and develop a team of Opticians, providing feedback and coaching
• Uphold exceptional service and drive store loyalty programs
• Forecast staffing needs with the Store Leader and oversee the Apprentice program
• Maintain HR policies and promote a safe, engaging store culture
• Support store systems, inventory databases, and daily operations
