Boscov’s Department Store, LLC is seeking a Licensed Optical Associate to join the Optical team in New Jersey. You will dispense spectacles and contacts, advising customers on lenses and frames while delivering a high level of service.

The role requires active licensure, at least one year of optical and retail experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Part-time status includes benefits and weekly pay in a customer‑facing, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed optician within the state and keep license up to date.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription orders for accuracy and maintain organized order files.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in person and by phone, explaining products and services.
• Interpret prescriptions, perform optical measurements, and recommend frame and lens options.
• Manage order fulfillment, update status, and process sales and payments.
• Perform eyewear fittings, adjustments, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Operate and maintain optical equipment per procedures and licensing requirements.
• Maintain compliance with policies, licensing regulations, and confidentiality.
• Support Optical Manager with opening/closing, cash reconciliation, and POS accuracy.
• Foster positive relationships with store leadership and associates.
• Maintain a clean, professional optical department for an exceptional customer experience.
