Boscov's Department Store, LLC is seeking an Optical Associate to dispense spectacles and contacts, assist customers, and advise on lens options. The role supports a fast-paced optical team inside a full-service department store, serving both adults and children with a focus on accuracy and service.

Responsibilities include interpreting prescriptions, measuring, lens options, and maintaining smooth order fulfillment while upholding HIPAA and store policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of optical experience.
• 1 year of retail experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription orders for accuracy and maintain order files.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in person and by phone.
• Accurately interpret prescriptions, perform measurements, and recommend frames.
• Manage order fulfillment and process sales transactions.
• Perform eyewear fittings and adjustments.
• Operate optical equipment including lensometer, autorefractor, and NCT.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and store policies.
• Assist Optical Manager with opening/closing and cash reconciliation.
• Foster positive relationships with store leadership and associates.
• Maintain a clean, organized optical department.
