Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Licensed HVAC/R Facilities Manager to lead maintenance operations across a local region. You will oversee HVAC/R and building systems, coach a team of technicians, and partner with Store Managers to ensure safe, efficient facilities.

Ideal candidates hold an active HVAC/R Contractor license and EPA certification, with 3–5 years’ leadership in facilities or mechanical maintenance. Travel is significant, with a mix of site inspections and vendor coordination.

Qualifications

• Current HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in your state of residence
• EPA Universal Certification
• 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or a related field
• Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge
• Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop others
• Strong communication, problem-solving and customer-service skills
• Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
• Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across your assigned locations.
• Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
• Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors when needed.
• Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Secure required permits and coordinate inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes.
• Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.
