Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Licensed Facilities Manager to lead HVAC/R maintenance across a local regional market. This role requires an active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license and EPA Certification, with 3-5 years in facilities management and strong leadership abilities.

You will coach a team of technicians, oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate with store managers and vendors, and travel roughly 50% across the region to ensure facilities operate safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in your state of residence.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• 3–5 years in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering or related field.
• Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge.
• Proven leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of facilities maintenance technicians.
• Oversee HVAC/R and general building maintenance across assigned locations.
• Partner with Store Managers and Facilities Services leaders to identify and resolve facility needs.
• Use reporting, analytics and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintain required contractor licensing and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Secure permits and coordinate inspections per codes.
• Conduct site inspections to support safety, quality and compliance standards.
