Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Assistant Practice Manager to inspire and support the team, deliver excellent patient care, and drive meaningful business results on the practice floor.

The role involves daily practice operations, patient flow, and coordination across front desk, optical sales, and technician support. You will learn multiple functions, support coaching, and partner with leadership to improve patient experiences.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required.
• Extensive dispensing experience required.
• Experience in optical or healthcare service environments preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience 1–2 years preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple practice positions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Practice Manager with daily operations and patient flow.
• Assist across practice functions to support patient care and operational execution.
• Learn and support roles such as patient care coordination, optical sales, and frontline routines.
• Coordinate front desk flow, optical floor support, and clinical/technician workflows.
• Communicate daily priorities and service standards to the team.
• Partner with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to support exam flow and patient handoffs.
• Provide coaching, training reinforcement, and follow-up within assigned areas.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, and team development as requested.
• Serve as practice point of contact in the Practice Manager’s absence when assigned.
