Job summary

The University of North Georgia Dahlonega Campus library is seeking a Library Associate - Access Services to provide circulation and access services to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The role involves managing technology inventory, coordinating room reservations, and approving public notices for the library display space. Occasional night/weekend work and travel between campuses are required, reporting to the Library Services Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Two years library or customer/public service-related experience.
• Knowledge of productivity software (Word, Excel).
• Experience in an academic library is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists students, faculty, staff, and community patrons in person, by telephone, and by chat with check-in/check-out and reserves.
• Performs daily opening duties and monitors safety and security.
• Liaises with IT User Support and Library Technology Center for equipment issues.
• Coordinates LTC meeting room reservations and approves event flyers.
• Performs collection maintenance tasks: shelving, shifting, weeding, inventories.
• Assists in training LTC student assistants and library staff; participates in committees.
