Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Liability Claim Representative II to handle property damage and low-to-mid range bodily injury claims. You will investigate, adjust, and direct vendors while coordinating with field management, legal counsel, insurers, and customers to manage exposures.

Preferred is a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in casualty claims; licenses are a plus. The role includes travel 1-10% and offers competitive compensation with full benefits and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more experience in casualty claims.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licenses are a plus for applicants.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, and directs independent adjusters, experts, and other vendors.
• Interacts with field operations management, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, insurers, and third party claimants.
• Manages litigation to ensure claims are handled per jurisdiction.
• Assists in identifying exposures and recommends solutions.
• Sets reserves to reflect probable ultimate payout.
• Communicates claim status to field personnel on request.
