Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Liability Claim Representative II to manage property damage and low-to-mid-range bodily injury claims for our North American operations. You will investigate and adjust claims, coordinate with field teams, and work with carriers to resolve exposures.

The role requires strong claim technical skills, customer focus, and the ability to guide independent adjusters and vendors. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and two years of casualty claims experience are desired;

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience in casualty claims
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Licenses are a plus

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, directs independent adjusters and vendors
• Interacts with field/operations management, legal counsel, safety, customers and carriers
• Manages litigation to align with jurisdiction requirements
• Assists in identifying exposures and recommends solutions
• Manages indemnity and expense costs appropriately
• Interacts with insurance carriers and re-insurers on applicable files
• Alerts changes in laws affecting Ryder's liability program
• Updates field personnel on claim status as requested
• Supplies outside vendors and experts for investigations
• Sets reserves to reflect probable ultimate payout
