Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, directs independent adjusters and vendors.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, insurers, and third-party claimants.
• Manages litigation to ensure claims are handled in accordance with applicable laws.
• Assists Claim Manager in identifying exposures and recommending solutions.
• Recommends and sets reserves to reflect probable payout based on file developments.
• Supervises outside vendors and experts retained to assist in investigations.
• Alerts management to changes in laws that could impact Ryder's liability program.
• Updates field personnel on claim status when requested.
