Qualifications

• Two years or more experience in casualty claims.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Licenses are a plus.
• Understanding of liability claims and insurance coverage basics.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, directing independent adjusters and experts.
• Interacts with field operations, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, carriers, and third parties.
• Manages litigation to align with jurisdiction and company policy.
• Assists Claim Manager in identifying exposures and recommending solutions.
• Manages indemnity and expense costs in line with file developments.
• Interacts with primary/Excess carriers and re-insurers for reporting thresholds.
• Alerts management to legal changes impacting the liability program.
• Updates field personnel on claim status as requested.
• Supervises outside vendors and experts retained for investigations.
• Recommends and sets reserves to reflect probable payouts.
