Job summary

Habitat Omaha is seeking a Lending Operations Manager to lead a team of Loan Processors/Closers and Underwriters, guiding from application to post-close. You will implement efficient lending workflows, optimize Encompass, and ensure compliance with TRID and regulations.

You will collaborate with program staff, financial coaching, and homeownership teams to deliver affordable housing solutions. Leadership, process improvement, and a focus on customer service will drive success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and/or loan closing experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory, leadership, or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience working with low- to moderate-income populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete mortgage and home repair lending process, from application through closing.
• Develop, implement, and improve lending processes, procedures, and workflows that enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Maintain expert knowledge of Habitat Omaha underwriting guidelines and recommend policy improvements when appropriate.
• Create and monitor KPIs to measure team effectiveness, efficiency, and service quality.
