Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver Inc. seeks a Mortgage Loan Originator to educate borrowers through the closing process and beyond, reviewing income and credit docs and preparing disclosures.

You will coordinate closings, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement of lending programs. The role requires detail-oriented, client-facing experience, with knowledge of Encompass and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in loan processing, underwriting and/or origination.
• Colorado MLO license or ability to obtain licensure in a predefined timeframe.
• Experience in client-facing customer service role.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred; French or Arabic desirable.
• Bachelor degree in Real Estate, Business or Finance helpful.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist borrowers through closing and post-closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local laws including SAFE Act.
• Review income/credit documents and prepare disclosures for closing.
• Coordinate closing logistics with homebuyers, title companies and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate data in Habitat’s CRM and post-closing systems.
• Support development of new lending products and expanded programs.
