Job summary

Habitat for Humanity Portland Region is seeking a Lending & Compliance Manager to oversee the home sale and mortgage lending pipeline from origination through closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will work with lenders, title companies, and nonprofit partners to streamline processes and maintain policy-driven controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage lending, homeownership counseling, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of CFPB regulations and other lending laws.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain compliance systems, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with homebuyers, lenders, title companies, servicers, and legal advisors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee home sale and mortgage lending pipeline from origination through closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with partners to streamline workflows and reduce barriers for homebuyers.
• Design internal systems and procedures aligned with industry workflows to improve efficiency.
• Oversee origination of second mortgages and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Educate buyers on mortgage terms, affordability, and resale conditions.
• Provide training to staff on lending concepts and compliance updates.
• Monitor ongoing homeowner compliance and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Keep informed of lending trends and regulations to adjust services accordingly.
