Workforce Recruiter inChicago seeks an experienced Billing Manager to lead legal billing operations following the firm’s Aderant implementation. This hands-on role combines billing oversight, training, and process improvement.

Initial on-site work with potential hybrid flexibility; remote candidates with strong Aderant and BillBlast experience will also be considered. Start ASAP; temporary with potential temp-to-hire.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience with hands-on Aderant proficiency.
• 2–3 years of Aderant experience preferred.
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast and LEDES 1998B files.
• Prior billing management or supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned legal billing work accurately and independently.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to billing team members.
• Train colleagues on Aderant and resolve billing workflow questions.
• Prepare, review, and process client bills per client billing requirements.
• Support electronic billing, including BillBlast and LEDES 1998B files.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and submission issues.
• Coordinate with attorneys and accounting staff to ensure on-time billing.
• Improve billing processes after the Aderant implementation.
