Application for the Lecturer – Biomedical Program at North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC).
The mission of the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering is to provide leadership through exceptional educational programs and experiences that prepare engineers and scientists to meet the challenges of biomedical discovery and applications of engineering to medicine. The research and entrepreneurship of the faculty, students, and staff aim to accumulate, generate, and disseminate biomedical engineering knowledge to improve health care for the benefit of the people of North Carolina, the nation, and the world.
Delivery of lectures covering the course objectives as stated on the course syllabus following the NCSU university calendar.
Assessment of student performance including exams, projects, laboratory assignments and/or homework.
All other responsibilities associated with teaching the course, including grading exams, papers and projects in a timely manner and providing help to students during scheduled office hours.
If a teaching assistant is provided, supervise the TA and coordinate assignments not exceeding the TA's workload.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience: MS in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
Other Required Qualifications: Expertise in subject area of course to be taught; excellent oral and written communication skills.
