Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Biological & Agricultural Engineering, Biological & Agricultural Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence or strong potential in college-level teaching in the area of biological & agricultural engineering technology, including hands-on learning.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues.
  • Valid driver’s license required within 30 days of start date and must be maintained.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring students (preferred).

  • Design and deliver hands-on and laboratory-based learning experiences, including work with electrical circuits, agricultural electrical systems, machinery diagnostics, engine disassembly and reassembly, equipment operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety practices.
  • Support student success through effective instruction, mentoring, and academic engagement.
  • Develop curriculum and laboratory materials and coordinate instructional equipment and facilities.
  • Maintain laboratory safety standards and provide service to the department, college, and university.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Lecturer – Biological and Agricultural Engineering (BAE)

Position: 9‑month teaching appointment in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State University, Raleigh, NC.
