Job summary

Valiant Residential in Houston is seeking a Leasing Consultant to manage leasing, retention and occupancy while delivering exceptional customer service to prospects and residents. You will greet visitors, prepare lease paperwork, process applications, and coordinate with the Community Manager.

The role requires strong English communication; Spanish is a plus, and Fair Housing certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; Spanish is a plus.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with residents.
• Demonstrate ability to support and contribute to the community team; strong oral and written communication.
• Operate computer/keyboard and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by criteria and guest cards.
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record all visits on reports and maintain guest cards.
• Inspect models and communicate service needs to the Community Manager.
• Process applications and deposits per procedures and Fair Housing rules.
• Update availability and process credit checks and rental history.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Handle rental payments and coordinate with the Assistant Community Manager.
• Enter lease data into the Yardi system accurately.
