Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant responsible for leasing, retention, and occupancy at our community, while promoting resident satisfaction. The role emphasizes a customer service focus to create a lasting impression on visitors, prospects, and residents.

The candidate will greet prospects, prepare move-in packages, and manage lease paperwork, deposits, and applications. Strong English communication and Fair Housing knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Demonstrate ability to support and contribute to the community team.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions, utilize completed guest cards).
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits and maintain guest cards.
• Inspect models and available units and communicate service needs to the Community Manager.
• Have the prospect complete the application and collect a deposit per procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update the availability report and process applications for approval (credit check, rental history, etc.).
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness and gather market information.
