Job summary

Valiant Residential in Texas is seeking a Leasing Consultant to drive occupancy and tenant retention with a strong customer-service focus. You will greet visitors, qualify prospects, prepare leases, and manage move-in activities in a fast-paced community.

This role relies on effective communication in English, with Spanish helpful, and familiarity with Yardi for lease processing. The company offers competitive compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• 2 years experience in previous customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and community software; Yardi experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering criteria and using guest cards.
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record visits and file guest cards per procedures.
• Inspect models and report service needs to Community Manager.
• Process applications and deposits in line with policy.
• Update availability and process applications for approval (credit, history).
• Assist with renewals, notices, and follow-ups.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness and market competition.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and route to Assistant Community Manager.
• Input lease information into Yardi accurately and on time.
• Assist management with additional tasks and policies.
