Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC in Houston is seeking a Leasing Consultant to drive leasing, retention and occupancy with a strong customer service focus. You’ll greet prospects, prepare move-in packages, process applications, and maintain accurate records in Yardi.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Operate computer/keyboard and community software (Yardi, MS Office).
• Two (2) years experience in previous relevant customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions, utilize completed guest cards, etc.)
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports and file guest cards.
• Inspect models and available units; communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Have prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per procedures.
• Update the availability report and process applications for approval (credit check, rental history, etc.).
• Submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness and file market information.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and forward to Assistant Community Manager.
• Type lease paperwork and input information in Yardi; review with Community Manager before signatures.
• Assist management with other tasks; implement community policies.
