Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant to manage leasing, retention, and occupancy while ensuring resident satisfaction. The role emphasizes customer service and a strong professional presence in daily interactions with visitors, prospects, and residents.

The successful candidate will perform move-in processing, document management, and lease administration, including deposits, applications, and approvals.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public or sales.
• Strong verbal and written English communication; Spanish is a plus.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Operate MS Office and community software.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Willingness to train to comply with laws.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Comply with employee handbook expectations.
• Diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by criteria (ask questions, use guest cards).
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record telephone and in-person visits on reports; file guest cards.
• Inspect models and market-ready units; communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Process applications and deposits per procedures; submit for approval.
• Update availability reports and process approvals (credit, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals and follow up on renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness and file market competition information.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and forward to the Assistant Community Manager.
• Input lease information into the Yardi System and obtain signatures.
• Assist management with other tasks as required.
• Consistently implement community policies.
