Job summary

Valiant Residential in Dallas is seeking a Leasing Consultant responsible for leasing, retention, and occupancy while promoting resident satisfaction. You will greet prospects, prepare move-in packages, and manage lease paperwork, deposits, and applications in the Yardi system.

The role requires strong English communication, experience with the public or sales, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Two (2) years experience in previous relevant customer service.
• Operate MS Word/MS Outlook and community software.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports and file guest cards.
• Inspect models and available units; communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update the availability report and process applications for approval; submit to Community Manager for approval.
• Assist in monitoring renewals; distribute and follow up on renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness; gather market information and file.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and remit to the Assistant Community Manager.
• Type lease and input information in Yardi; obtain signatures.
• Assist the management team with other tasks and implement community policies.
