Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant to handle leasing, retention, and occupancy while promoting resident satisfaction. Greet prospects, prepare move-in packages, record visits, and process applications with care.

The role requires strong English communication, customer service experience, Fair Housing knowledge or willingness to obtain, and proficiency with MS Office and Yardi. A positive, professional presence is expected, with flexibility for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Operate telephone, PC and MS Office including Word and MS Outlook, and community software.
• Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
• Two years experience in previous relevant customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on reports; file guest cards.
• Inspect models and market-ready units; communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per procedures.
• Update availability; process applications for approval (credit check, rental history).
• Submit processed applications to Community Manager for approval.
• Assist in monitoring renewals; distribute and follow up on renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness; gather information about market competition.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and route to Assistant Community Manager.
• Type lease, input information on Yardi System; review with Community Manager before signatures.
• Assist management with other tasks; implement community policies.
