Job summary

Valiant Residential in Dallas, TX is seeking a Leasing Consultant to drive leasing, retention, and occupancy for the community with a customer service focus. You will greet visitors, qualify prospects, prepare move-in packages, and ensure processes align with Fair Housing requirements.

You will record visits, manage applications and deposits, update reports, monitor renewals, and professionally represent the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with the public and/or sales.
• Must have strong English verbal and written communication.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Proficiency with office software and community management tools.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by criteria (ask questions, use guest cards).
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record telephone and in-person visits; file guest cards per procedures.
• Inspect models and market-ready units; relay service needs to Community Manager.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per procedures.
• Update availability and process applications for approval (credit, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals; distribute and follow up on notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness; gather market data and file.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and remit to the Assistant Community Manager.
• Type lease documents and input data in Yardi; confirm with Community Manager.
• Assist management with additional tasks; consistently apply community policies.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional appearance.
