Job summary

Mill Creek Residential in Montclair, NJ is seeking a Leasing Consultant to serve as the primary contact for residents and prospects, delivering outstanding customer service and sales excellence. You will guide prospects to select homes and support residents throughout their residency lifecycle.

The role reports to the Senior Community/Community Manager and adapts day-to-day duties to fit skills, experience, and community needs, with a focus on leasing goals and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Multi-family, retail, built to rent, or related property management experience, or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet prospective residents and build personal connections to determine needs and preferences.
• Present the community and homes with features and benefits.
• Complete lease applications and verify eligibility.
• Convert leads into leases and follow up on non-leased prospects.
• Monitor market rents and competitor promotions to stay informed.
• Enter data into information systems and prepare leasing reports.
• Ensure office and models are in impeccable condition.
• Assist in social media advertising and move-in preparations.
