Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Leasing Consultant to manage leasing, retention, and occupancy with a customer-first approach. You will greet prospects, prepare move-in packets, and record visits to ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires strong English communication, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Typical duties include processing applications, coordinating deposits, updating availability, and assisting with renewals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Demonstrate ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Operate telephone, computer and MS Office, including Yardi system.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record all visits on reports and maintain guest cards.
• Inspect models and market-ready units and communicate service needs.
• Process applications and deposits per procedures and Fair Housing rules.
• Update availability reports and process applications (credit checks, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals and follow up on notices.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and forward to the Assistant Community Manager.
• Input lease information in Yardi and obtain signatures.
