Job summary

Cardinal is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) to deliver high-quality customer service and support resident retention and occupancy goals. This on-site role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, evening/weekend availability, and participation in Cardinal leasing processes and training.

You will perform front desk duties, help with events, complete lease paperwork, and maintain accurate files while embodying Cardinal's culture and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5; GPA verified annually.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Cardinal customers are satisfied.
• Administrative Front Desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training as required.
• Utilize Cardinal Way of Leasing by greeting prospective clients, answering calls, determining needs, presenting the community and homes, and closing the sale.
• Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork.
• Pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
• Maintain accurate lease file documentation; participate in lease file audits.
• Maintain cleanliness of the tour path and present a positive image.
• Demonstrate a professional attitude with team members, residents, and vendors.
• Participate in planning community events and assist with projects as assigned.
• Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
• On-call responsibilities (lock-outs, nightly rounds, etc.).
• Available to work approximately 20 hours per week; evenings and weekends.
