Job summary

Franklin Group in Norfolk, VA seeks an Assistant Community Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the community under the Community Manager's guidance. This role may assume responsibility in the Community Manager’s absence.

The position is non-exempt (hourly) and involves rent posting, bookkeeping, leasing support, and maintaining office organization. Candidates should understand Fair Housing standards and be prepared for on-site duties and resident interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• LIHTC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
• Fair Housing must be completed within 1 day of hire.
• Preventing Sexual Harassment, Workplace Harassment and Drug Free Workplace courses must be completed within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Efficient and timely reporting, maintenance and submission of all administrative forms, files and reports.
• Post rent to operation software. Perform bookkeeping functions as necessary.
• Assisting the Community Manager in orientation, training and scheduling of leasing and office personnel.
• Inspect model, office, and vacant units for marketability and keep on-site office organized.
