Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in operations, leasing, and resident relations. The role involves maintaining rental records, processing applications in the Yardi system, and presenting marketing ideas to attract residents.

You will assist with renewals, rent collections, notices, and ensure adherence to Fair Housing requirements while delivering professional service and a positive image of the community.

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Must possess positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• English fluency is required; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain records of rental levels of comparable units in the surrounding area.
• Present creative leasing and marketing ideas.
• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria and securing applications.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals (credit check, rental history).
• Assist in monitoring renewals and follow up on renewal notices.
• Assist with lease preparation, signing, and administration.
• Operate accounting software to record and analyze information.
• Maintain open communication with the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Contribute to the community's cleanliness and curb appeal.
