Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to work closely with the Community Manager to ensure smooth operation of the property. The role supports leasing, marketing, and resident relations, and involves preparing advertising materials, showing units, screening applicants, and maintaining financial records.

The ideal candidate will have strong English communication skills, a high school diploma (or equivalent), 2+ years of college, and apartment management experience is

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Apartment management experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials.
• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain records of rental levels of comparable units in the surrounding area.
• Present creative leasing and marketing ideas.
• Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, and representatives of other companies.
• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Professionally represent the company at all times.
• Accept rental payments and give them to the Community Manager.
• Type lease and input information in Yardi accurately.
• Assist with lease preparation, signing, and administration.
• Maintain resident files and respond to inquiries.
• Coordinate with maintenance team and resolve issues promptly.
