Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager who assists the Community Manager in leasing, marketing, and resident relations. You will help prepare advertisements, show units, screen applicants, and maintain rental records while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with Fair Housing rules.

You will also manage documentation in Yardi, coordinate renewals, process applications, and support the community team with daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Demonstrate ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English with team members, residents, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Participate in training to comply with new and existing laws.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and auto insurance.
• Ability to work most weekends.
• Apartment management experience preferred.
• Neat, clean, and professional throughout the workday.
• Adhere to employee handbook expectations.
• Diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing advertising materials.
• Assist in showing units and screening applicants.
• Maintain records of rental levels of comparable units in the surrounding area.
• Present creative leasing and marketing ideas.
• Maintain courteous communication with residents and applicants.
• Greet prospects and qualify by criteria; collect applications and deposits.
